Welcome to the Ann Wasserman Memorial Community Garden at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida! This community garden is the first of its kind in a Broward County Park and represents a partnership between the county government and the Weston Community Garden Society, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This garden was named in honor of Ann Wasserman, founding treasurer of the Weston Community Garden Society. Ann’s enthusiasm for the garden society in our early days helped bring the organization to life and we are extremely proud to name our first garden in her honor. Ann was also the mother of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.
Enjoy the photos below, which contains the journey of the Garden and gives you a sense of what we do.

The Beginning-- in 2020! Here is the land at Markham Park dedicated to the garden. We have since added the fencing, fruit trees, storage container, and raised garden beds.
